After 26 years, can't blame her !! She's had a great run. When I worked and taught at LQS 15-20 years ago, her fabrics and patterns were our BEST sellers.
TB lines don't sell like they used to, so many other fabric lines competing today. The shops here haven't carried TB for a few years now. I had to buy online to finish a border for a Christmas quilt last yr.

Thimbleberries is my all time favorite fabric and quilting books/patterns. I have been slowly buying all her older books I can find. I love to just sit and read her books and look at her patterns and pictures. There is something so comforting about her designs and fabric. I think it may be that "country" influence that I feel in her quilts. I am sorry to hear so is retiring but glad that she will continue to design fabric and publish some books from time to time.

Were any of you members of the 2004 Thimbleberries Club? If so, I have lost my August-December patterns. Of course, moving, moving, moving across the country and back 2 times since then hasn't helped... I had them organized in 2 three-ring binders and my second binder is gone. Thanks in advance for any help!

Same here. I have a few of her books, fabric too, and I still keep dreaming of the quilts I'm gonna make.

Thanks for letting us know this, I have met her too and have a few patterns/
books of hers. She deserves to enjoy family and some time for herself.

One more tidbit... in case you missed it like I did. Under the "Quiltmaking Basics" tab is a lot of info that may be helpful to newbies or even a resource for those of us who can no longer claim "newbie" status but still need help. The General Instruction link includes hanging sleeve directions. Remember the site goes down Dec. 20th.

Here's an additional page including corrections for patterns and books:

Probably would a good idea for those who love her work to buy her books cheap now on Amazon. They seem to have plenty of them still.

Thanks for the info - Thimbleberries was my very first "favorite" - loved the patterns and fabric and it's kind of what drew me into wanting to try to quilt.
