Default Stunning 3D "Sinkhole" by Leah Day

Geta's gorgeous "Hexy" quilt got me searching for other quilts with 3D effects. I came across this one made by Leah Day, and it's really amazing. Sad story of it's creation, but wonderful artistic work:

(can't get the pic to reference directly from the URL...perhaps not allowed, but here's the link)

That was very interesting...Leah does such beautiful work and I pray this became a healing work for her...as she seems to say. Behind the beauty of our quilts lay some damaged artist...God uses us just as we are.

Thank you for posting this. Leah is one of my favorite quilters and has been so inspirational in quilting ideas. We all have issues we have to deal with and quilting is such a great way to work through them. Glad she has found a way to work her way out of the "hole".

What an inspirational story of working her way through difficult memories and transforming them into beauty and healing. May we all be able in our own ways to do likewise, whatever our situation and talents.
