Default Mich. quilter wins $200K ArtPrize contest

In USAToday was this article on an art quilter Ann Loveless in Michigan. Her art quilt is beautiful. I would post a link or pic but don't know how

Congratulations to Ann Loveless!!!! Absolutely fabulous quilt or should I say quilts.

BTW - Another winner that I know is Tim Latimer. His Tree of Life quilt also won. Love these shows.

I was fortunate enough to see her work in person last week....Grand Rapids is only one hr away from where I live. The pictures don't do it justice!!! It is incredibly beautiful!!! The water just sparkles...the reeds look real! We spoke with the artist and she is so warm and friendly. She used to lead a 4-H group in sewing!!! Great woman! I'm so glad she won!!

Her work is amazing. I was lucky to take a class from her a couple years ago. She is a wonderful teacher!
