I just ordered it, along with the free deal today, so today it was worth the 10.99.

My issue arrived today, and there are 3 patterns that I'd like to make. That surprised me! Those alone have easily paid for this issue. PLUS, my 87 year old mother and I saw one that looked like one my great grandmother made!! We had a good conversation about it, so if I never made anything out of it, having a good conversation with my mom is worth it. She is in beginning stages of dementia and isn't interested in much of anything, so this was a wonderful bonus!

I didn't let it stop me from ordering the special edition. I also ordered a pattern I had been wanting and a charm pack for a project. Well worth the shipping cost, smile.

I ordered it.
There is always something in their magazine, even though I do not tend to do the modern quilts.

I ordered it and can't wait to receive it. I too am not into modern quilts but I have yet to see a quilt presented by MSQC that I wouldn't sew and love!

Are there 2 BLOCK mags out right now? One is the subscription mag that comes every few months and the other is a special edition (Modern Quilts) that would have to be ordered separately if you have the subscription? Confusing to me with the comments.

Yes, there are two issues out right now. The MODBlock is a special issue. The 'regular' BLOCK is also being shipped.

I'm not ordering the ModBlock and thinking seriously about cancelling the Block subscription. I enjoy all the reading and etc. but I'm to the point that my house is full of fabric and patterns and not being able to get them made so am sure I already have all I need for my lifetime. No more quilt magazine subscriptions for me. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!!!

$11 is a drop in the bucket for most any quilt item.

I enjoy the Block magazine and am thinking about ordering the Mod Block one. I actually may order 2 since I have a friend who likes more modern quilts and we have a quilting retreat coming up in a couple months. We usually do little retreat gifts, so this would be perfect. I've been waiting for a day that I like the daily deal so that is makes the shipping more worth it.
