Wow, it came out nice from the dryer except for the one shredded hankie. At least with the hankies top stitched to the background square, it is a fairly easy fix.
I made my SIL curtains out of hankies. Within 2 years they completely fell apart .. These are beautiful but don't let to much light on them
Hankies are generally made of thin fabric. I would use them only in a wall quilt or something that would not be washed very often because they are rather fragile. They would make great table runners, dresser scarves, wall quilts, pillow tops, book covers, etc.
Nice quilt. I have a lot of hankies from my mom. I may have to try that. Thanks for sharing..
