This was a nice show. Also interesting to see old style socializing- notice the lack of cupcakes, cookies and cokes which would probably be considered vital for any such event these days? Notice how slim they all are?!! (Except for naughty Grandpa who was obviously a little partial to the liquid refreshments!)

Yea it would be nice to start a tradition like this in our own family or community. I think the hardest part is gathering folks who would be interested and then finding the time in this busy world. However, this tradition is never forgotten.

yup we all be slim if we worked has hard as they did in those days. I recently found this out when my washer broke down and was waiting for repair man. So had to wash some cloths in a bucket and ran it through some ringers i bought years ago. Whew those women had strong backs arms and hands. lol Its good to watch old time shows like that is to see how they had to do things years ago. One never knows if we would ever have to, knowledge is powerful.
