All of you on here inspired me to do a tutorial, then I started a blog, and I finished my 3rd tutorial on the blog this morning. Here is the link. Enjoy.

You are amazingly talented...I can't help but think I could end up with a chaotic mess. Thanks for sharing your Gran's story and letting us in on the process.

Fascinating tute. I did some scarves out of yarn and ribbon sandwiched between dissolvable stabalizer and using invisible thread a few years ago. Nothing as colorful as your flower fabric. My question is this, I know you used matching threads to overstitch the orange flower areas, but when you showed the back, I would swear that there were actual flowers there too, they were so perfect. Did you put actual flowers on the back too, or is it just the stitching ?

The back is just the stitching. The reds show up on the blue.
