Default NEW BOOK....to me

Just got it yesterday. Was discussed elsewhere, so I ordered it from amazon......title: 1718 Coverlet. It is very interesting to read the bit of the history of this piece of handwork.....similar to dear jane ....in that some may try to copy these blocks, in a more modern way with today's fabrics. I don't think I will, just bought it for the " having" of it. Does anyone here have it, going to duplicate blocks....just wondering

Yes, I bought mine thru amazon. It is very interesting reading.....and the patterns are very simple....much easier than dear jane, almost tempting me..........maybe later this year...have other things on my to do list.....

Yes, the appliqués are rather primitive...apparently the doer was not great at drawing.......but the fact that it's silk and is not completely in tatters is a great historical find.......
