Emma S, piecing, LOL! Discovered this AM that my chest freezer died. Guess what I am doing today? Certainly not sewing. Fortunately I was smart to purchase an upright freezer 3 years ago. The chest freezer came with the house when we bought it 17 years ago and it was old, old then.

Here it the reply from Cindy Carter regarding the need for an extra 4-patch block:
Hi Caroline,
Download the revised fabric cutting doc. The link is in the post at the top of the blog. I am pretty sure you need (44) 4 patches. Check that doc to make sure.

Cat: I'm on the last part of clue #4. The more the pattern emerges the more I wonder if it would be a good use for those large bold prints that I just love but never know what to do with.

Cindy has a number of quilts posted on her site now. I really like the ones with a variety of darks/lights

Emma - I think this would be great for some larger bold prints. Might even do well for an i-spy, I've got a number of kid type prints leftover from past projects.

Anyone else have a finish??

The long panels are now going together on mine. I modified the pattern a little to make a V instead of one long stripe, really like how it is coming together. Was going to send a picture to Cindy, just to thank her and show her my modification.

I did steps 1 & 2 today...hope to do more tomorrow. Then won't be able to finish till next week...getting ready for a yardsale this weekend. Whatever doesn't sell will go to different places right away for donations...nothing is coming back in my house! This will be the first of many this next year...trying to get a good cleanout for moving probably in 2016! It's very overwhelming...20+ years of stuff! I'm going to pop over to her site to see some of the pics.......

The top is sewn together although I may add a a orange border. There is really a lot more contrast between the two colors but indoors somehow my camera doesn't like contrast.

Wonderful Emma. I like the geometric designs formed by the light fabric. I think I spy a Celtic Solstice in your pile.
