    I'm worried the finished product, although probably fun to do, would look like I was cheating.
    How did you get the idea that would be cheating? You haven't been listening to the quilt police have you? LOL
    Got fabric?

    No BellaBoo, well, not other quilt police, just the ones in my head, lol! I feel like I'd be cheating myself out of what I planned to learn from this kit's pattern directions.

    It has a lot of basic square type blocks that are pieced in the traditional 1/4" seam method until you reach a block with a little more interesting angle (i.e., trees and star points), thats when it changes over to raw edge appliqué. So the quilt pattern I have is a combination of methods with only the easier ones done traditionally.
