How did you get the idea that would be cheating? You haven't been listening to the quilt police have you? LOLI'm worried the finished product, although probably fun to do, would look like I was cheating.

It has a lot of basic square type blocks that are pieced in the traditional 1/4" seam method until you reach a block with a little more interesting angle (i.e., trees and star points), thats when it changes over to raw edge appliqué. So the quilt pattern I have is a combination of methods with only the easier ones done traditionally.
