Nice surprise at Dollar Store update

I wanted to know if the containers were easy to refill so I emptied one to try. It filled up great! I rolled the end up like a toothpaste tube and stuck the open end into school glue I poured from a big bottle to a small deep container. It suctioned it right into the tube and filled it up. I think until I can find this glue tube more available to buy, I'll just squeeze the tube and not roll it so maybe not crack the tube over time. It sure is handy.

Thanks for the update. I found some of these yesterday and was just now thinking about how to refill them.

I found them in PA but when I remarked someone had bought them for 50 cents the sales person looked at me and said "this is a DOLLAR store" with a bit of a smirk. She had the checkout line snickering...I only bought 5 and I hope I can refill with the big bottle. I think these will work great for binding and dabbing applique pieces. Thanks so much for telling us about them.

That employee was rude. There are many items in the $ store that are under a $1. I now have fun turning the tables on rudeness. I would have looked distraught and asking why did she want to embarrass me for what reason? I would have turned to the other customers and said I'm glad you enjoyed this person's rudeness at my expense. I wouldn't have felt anything but annoyed at a bunch of jerks but they wouldn't know that.

I looked at Walmart this am, no luck. Did you find them at the 99€ store or Dollar Store? I would appreciate to know think they would be just what I need to help with bindings.

I did not see the original post on this, what a great find. What is the name of the $ store that you found them, I have several in my area. If not there is always Target even if I have to pay full price it will be worth it as I keep a small bottle of school glue at my quilting table, it has so many uses.

The dollar tree near me did not carry this, but went to Walmart and found ONE among the mountains of school supplies....but it is only one pen two sided...one side thin line, other side thick line..$1.88, and used it last nite on a hexie that I had basted and the paper slipped out so I glued that seam allowance down..worked fine!
