Thanks for the link. Added to favorites. Saw where they had other old commercials. Love looking at old commercials.

I loved this ad,What a difference from then and now.If my husband ever walked in and saw me like that he would think he was in the wrong house.

I took a sewing course from Singer in 1954. Sewed clothing for many years, for family. Then when the Singer Touch and Sew came out I demonstrated it at the Anderson Air Force Exchange on Guam. Still use it and the cams still work.

In 1953 my Mom bought the machine the portable model. She had it until she was 86. Then she gave it to my younger sister. I am sorry to say when it did not run right she gave it to a friend for parts. I wish she had given it to me. I would have had it put back in working condition and used it. I would to be able to tell my grand children I made their quilts on their Great grandma's sewing machine.

I'm sending in my $14.95 so I can get the deluxe model. LOL Thanks for posting this ad. I really enjoyed it.

The voice sounds like the same lady that did the commercials for radio active face cream.
