    That's incredible!!! I can't fathom the masterminding that went into planning it, let alone the time to embroider ALL those names!!! I'm awestruck.

    Part of my wife's family was from Jasper County, Carthage, Missouri & one of the names listed on the quilt is her kin. M. J. Smith is Mary Jane Smith who was married to Thomas Smith. Thomas died in 1911 at age 82 & Mary Jane died in 1921 at the age of 71.
