Thank you for sharing the location of this video. This is an amazing quilt made by an amazing lady. I can't imagine all the planning and work that goes into a work of art like this.
Quilters that make show quilts are a different breed. They are amazing.
I love my life!
can't believe she MADE the lace!!! WOW! it's gorgeous!
"variety is the spice of life"
it's gorgeous!! I recognized the style and I went and looked it up and sure enough, it was the same quilter.
In 2011 I went to paducah and was stunned by a silver quilt that was very similar to this white one. It had also received a 1st in it's category.
quilt is "Every Cloud has a silver lining" you can see a picture of it on this page.

May your stitches always be straight, your seams always lie flat, and your grain never be biased against you.

The woman has the patience of Job.........what is the prize $$$$ for that.....not equal to time/supplies I'm sure
How beautiful and what an inspiration! I also lost a son at 26 and didn't touch a needle and thread for 10 years.
Very beautiful, indeed. I am always amazed at the talent and artistry of so many quilters.
How sad that she and you, tenngal, lost sons so young. I can't begin to understand what it takes to survive that. Her work is a testament to spirit.
LyndaWhen a dying man asked his pastor "How long does it take to die?" his pastor's heartfelt reply was "A lifetime." Live life to the fullest, but stop now and then to enjoy the sunset.
Thanks very much for sharing the link to this video. She's not only an extremely talented quilter, she's tenacious of spirit to be able to return and finish this beautiful quilt after so many setbacks.
