Hi, ladies.
For those of you who miss having Fabric in your local Walmart, I ran across a petition site:

It's probably closed because it's a very old petition. We fought this battle several years ago when they first made the announcement. WalMart at that time was trying to upgrade their image and be more competitive with Macy's, etc. Many of us even called them.

One of my walmarts is remodeling....I hate the layout...Everything is scattered all over the store. Guess I won't go to that one again for a long time. Hope the other stores don't "remodel" in the same format.

Ours is laid out like that. I think they just want people to wonder around trying to find things. They will buy more impulse items that way. I just stay away from them all together.

It won't do much good. There are 3 Walmarts in my area and two of them already got rid of the fabric. The other one is going to downsize and only carry a small amount. They are remodeling and bringing in food items. Food makes more money than fabric.
I already tried emailing them 5 times. They never answered me. Luckily, we have LQS's in the area.

I have a question for some opinions on the olfa blade sharpeners. Has anyone used one? I know this isn't the topic right now but I can't figure out how to get in.

I have one of the sharpeners. It works for several more cuts. I have even sharped blades more then once. I have also found a drop of sewing machine oil will help any blade cut longer.
