Another thing I do is make sure that if the quilt is meant for someone in particular, I put that right on the label, so that if they ever have a theft, they can prove that the quilt was theirs. And, if it does get stolen and winds up in the hands of an honest person, they'll know where to return it to if my name or the recipient's name right on the label. I attach the label to the backing and quilt through all layers so it's less likely to be taken off.
