The blocks are joined as any quilt as you go blocks. There are many tutorials and videos how to do this online. I learned QAYG from Georgia Bonesteel's pbs quilt show when I first started quilting. Her books were the only quilt books in the public library at the time too.

I like how it looks and might even give it a shot. I do paper and foundation piecing and think this would be convenient.

I like the method and it is very much paper piecing. Starch is always great for working with fabrics to keep crisp edges.
