It worked for me just now and there was an e-mail address of the person at McCalls to contact for the pattern. If you want the e-mail address, let me know I'll send it to you by PM.

ETA: Thank you so much for the link to the contact at McCalls.

Murphy 10-25-2011 05:02 PM

Thank you for this link.

fidgety 10-25-2011 07:03 PM

Thanks all.. I finally got it to work. So has anyone gotten the pattern yet?

suzanprincess 10-26-2011 04:18 AM

QuiltnNan,
Thanks a bunch for the referral for this pattern--I just sent off a request for the particulars. I've never paper pieced, but this will be my motivation to learn!

Thank you for this grand idea. I have fabric for a forest quilt but no patter yet. This may be the one. I just sent off an e-mail to [email protected] and hope to hear back from some one soon.

Thank you so much for posting this. I had been trying to get different Renee Peterson pattern: Shimmering Squares. They didn't have anymore of the issue that it was in and I couldn't find anyone that had an extra one. Now I can get the pattern. Thanks.

There is another very similar to Jeweled Forest available online. I just finished making one and had a lot of fun/frustration with it. Been a long time since I've done paper-piecing! The site was http://madcatartstudio.wordpress.com
I believe this one has more boughs than the jeweled version.

grammy of 6 10-27-2011 06:46 AM

I have never paper pieced before, but this pattern motivated me to learn! I just sent off a message and am eagerly awaiting her response. It will be fun to see all the projects when they are done.

Has anyone heard from McCalls on this pattern. I e-mailed the person in the comments section , but have yet to hear back. Just wondered if anyone has had any sucess yet?

I emailed also, but just Wednesday morning; no response so far, but I'm still hoping there will be one. I did copy the free similar pattern mentioned above; might have to make my own hybrid pattern, as I do prefer Jeweled Forest, both visually and in being a simpler design to put together.

I tried to make this pattern smaller but it doesn't want to print at 25%. Drats! The original is really big!

Lori S 10-28-2011 11:14 AM

They are making the pattern available See:

Can you take it to a copy machine and reduce it? Some of the pieces may be very small???

BuzzinBumble 11-28-2011 10:14 AM
