Attention Ohio State Buckeye Fans

I stopped in my local Joann's today. They have Ohio State Buckeye fabric and fleece!! And it's on SALE!! I talked with two of the ladies there and they were surprised the store received it. They had already sold out most of the cotton fabric. (I bought the last of one bolt.) They don't when or if they will get more. Another local store sold out completely and tried to order more and were told 'NO'.

So if you want this fabric, head to Joann's now. The cotton was $9.99/yd, on sale 25% off, so $7.49/yd. It is a very nice fabric too, has some weight to it, not thin and flimsy. I did check online at Joann's and they do have it listed. But for some reason, the description says it is 9 inches by 42 inches. I haven't checked mine, but I think this may be the repeat of the pattern.

Good luck and Go Bucks!!

where is Hocking Hills Ohio?

cwcquilters 04-27-2013 11:22 AM

The Hocking Hills area is south of Lancaster and Logan is the town most associated with it. This is all called The Hocking Hills. There are several parks, Old Man's Cave, Lake Logan, zip lines, hiking trails and just lots of beauty. Hope this answsers your question.

I am very surprised at this! I had heard that OSU would not license fabric. I have never seen it before!

The Hocking Hills area of Ohio is just about the most beautiful part of the state. Fantastic gorges, waterfalls, rock cliffs, hiking trails.... It is all so beautiful!

Hi from SW Florida...I just ordered Ohio State fabric on line early this morning. Not available in our shops locally...not surprised even though many in SW FL are former Ohioans. Thanks for every one who gives these little tips on this thread!

I checked out the OSU fabric on line and to me it looks like it is 9" wide???? Am I missing something here. I would love to get the fabric for two quilts I want to make for Christmas gifts, but 9" wide? Unfortunately, they don't carry OSU fabric in UofM territory.

I love college ball. Having the fabric of your team is a big deal. Congrads! Hey, isn't Myers at OSU now. Best wishes. I've always enjoyed watching the team he's couching.

Sorry I haven't responded sooner! Someone moved my original post from the main board and I couldn't remember where it was moved to. Found it this morning.

Thanks cwc for answering mulema's question about Hocking Hills. And, yes, Logan is considered the Gateway into the Hocking Hills State Park.

Central Ohio Quilter, yes it is beautiful here. We dreamed about living here for years. It was well worth the wait! We love the natural beauty of the area.

Kathy, there are a lot of Buckeyes living in your area. Since you ordered it on line, can you tell us what's up with the listing that says it is 9 inches wide? Was it just a misprint?

Sophie, with the rivalry between the two schools I can see why they don't carry it up there LOL Hopefully, Kathy will let us know what happened when she ordered it.

mjhaess, you are welcome!

berryberry, yes Urban Myer is our new coach. He seems to be doing a good job, even during all the controversy surrounding the team. We had a great season last year!

Myers had a GREAT season - UNDEFEATED! I may be from Michigan, but I cheer for OSU!!!!! I'll be watching this thread to see if Kathy can clear up the description on the on-line width. Thanks!
