Jinny Beyer has most amazing quilt blocks, she uses color to change the look and feel of quilt blocks. Check out her design board for free block patterns and color placement. Here it is: http://www.jinnybeyer.com/quilting-w...sign-board.cfm enjoy and give her patterns a try.

If you are ever close to Washington DC, her shop is not far. Dranesville is about 15 miles and her shop is gorgeous. She has great sales items upstairs and her quilts are on display. Her fabrics are so wonderful and less expensive than in quiktshops. I buy Lot from her. She usually is there if not traveling. Every Christmas,my DH buys me things from her and she helps pick them out for him. I love it.

There are some amazing blocks. And you're right about the use of color.
