I found this on Moda Bake Shop and just knew that it would be great for all the Grandkids to take home when they go.

Those are so cute. I have been looking for something that I could make my grandchildren for Christmas. I have 21 of them. So this would be something I could get done. Thanks for posting that.

Thanks for sharing that site. Would be a great idea for my GC. But what do I do? Their names are Jeremiah and Mackenzie. That's a lot of letters to fit on there and a lot of cutting and planning.

Great idea for another Christmas for the GC and GGC.

I am making these, I am not a fan of applique, so I just used a solid piece in the middle. I used charm pack (Moda Fa La LaLaLa) one charm pack will make 4 placemats. Just have to bind. I did the cross hatch quilting.

Marlene1 10-29-2011 06:43 AM

Leave off the end two charm squares and use the whole middle row for the name. It would still look great. Good luck!

Where do I find "time" to do all of these awesome projects? Has any one got any extra? I love this and the table runner projects as well! Seeing lots of gift ideas, just no time. I dont dare try to do a "Mommy project" with my toddler running around. LOL
