Thank you for this link; I've sent it to my cousins--they are fairly new to sewing and all have machines & I've tried to tell them that they have to read their book and learn to clean their machines. Apparently this didn't seem important, so they clean off the top, but call me whenever it stops working, and it's always a cleaning issue. I've shown them repeatedly, but now I printed this & gave it to them all! Thanks so much for the help--I really, really needed it!

Funny happenstance, I am in the middle of cleaning my computerized machine but came over to see if the wireless was working again and it is for the moment, so I am catching up on what I missed earlier this a.m. Actually came over to the computer to pic up my twizzors, which are on the keyboard shelf, to grab a clump of fuzz that eludes me and won't come up with my purple thang or my stilleto.

I thought we shouldn't use canned air, as it would "push" the lint further into the machine?

Katz13203 02-22-2011 04:17 PM

Be careful with the canned air. I used it on my laptop and I have messed up 2 keys with it. It is like it is jammed and I also can't get the right shift key to work anymore. So please be careful using it on your sewing machine.
