Don't understand how it worked for her because what you want to use is Soda Ash (same thing that people used for hand dyeing) not Washing Soda or Baking Soda. They are NOT the samethings!
Have not made some because still have come Color Catchers, but plan to because I have a 50 pound bag of Soda Ash for my hand dyeing needs.

Since I have a tub of Soda Ash, bought last winter when I started hand dyeing, I can make these very easily. Thanks for the info.

Okay are we using SODA ASH and not BAKING SODA? Am I getting this right? Because in Canada many of these colours catchers are not available.
