I came across this on JoAnns website. It is a bulb that appears to fit in a standard lamp, that simulates daylight. I am wondering if these bulbs work as well as Ott lights and others. The bonus would be that we could use our regular lamps and not the outrageously expensive name brand ones.

just my two cents ...

i can't see spending that much for the equivalent of a 60-watt bulb. to me, it would still be like quilting in the dark. nowwwww .... find me something with the power of a 200-300 watt bulb ... THAT would be worth what they're charging for this one. :P

I found these bulbs did not fit my lamps because the harp that holds the shade is too narrow for the base of the bulb which is quite a bit wider.

i found a great lamp at big lots and it simulates daylight for only $29.99,that is in Mass. dont know if they are anywhere else
