My denim quilts

Very informative. I've wanted to do a denim quilt for a long time and will eventully have enough old jeans pieces to do it. Thanks for the link. Appreciate all the time and effort you put into posting these kinds of things. :thumbup:

My thanks to you too. I have been saving old jeans too in the hope of someday making a quilt. I have been collecting colored denim jeans and probably have more than enough right now to make that quilt but who knows when I will ever get around to it!
I have a question, too. What can be done with the rest of the jeans after cutting legs for the quilt? There must be a use for some of the top part of the jeans.

Back pockets can be made into pot holders. Leave the pocket open at the top when attaching to the front. This leaves a "skip in" for your hand when the pot holder is in use. Also using nine extra squares and make a rag cushion

THAT QUILT IS AWESOME AND DURABLE.

Those quilts are nice. I want to try one when I get enough denim put together. We have a Church here in town that has a rummage sale every couple of months. They give you a bag for the clothing and everything you can fit into the bag is $2.00. I have to get their early to get some jeans but at least I know where to go when I'm ready. :thumbup:

have fun looking for blue jeans at rummage sales, thrift stores (also our thrift store on Friday's has everything 50% off), ask friends and relatives if they have blue jean they don't wear so you can take them off of their hands
