Nice one. And you could put ANYTHING in the middle - doesn't have to be hearts.

very true just be creative, you could also embroider, photos, etc.

Isn't it amazing how we quilters will take a simple idea and tweak it a little to make it a new idea. And then someone takes that idea and adds their own idea to that and on and on. My head is spinning thinking about things to add to this idea.

Once again you have come through for us. I am going to make a rag quilt for my friend who is celebrating her 50th wedding anniv. in Aug. I had made her a lap size quilt a few years ago and her husband swiped it and uses it every night, I wanted to make him one and he said no he liked hers, so I thought I would make a scrappy one for them for their anniv.

Many thanks - a nice variation. I did my first DP9 at Christmas with left - over blocks from an X-Block pattern. Nice effect, and looked chintzy.
