This is the pattern I've used for about 5 Kindle covers. I don't always use a Honey Roll. A couple of times I didn't use strips at all. The measurements are good.

I've made this one too. It turns out beautiful. I used jelly roll strips I had left over, worked out great. Found they now have fusible velcro, so used that for the fastener.

Go to http://www.chicaandjo.com. They have a very Kindle cover.

If I remember correctly, it suggests something more substantial than regular cardboard ... such as that which is used in three ring notebooks. Soooo, I stopped at Goodwill recently and found several used notebooks which I bought and will cut up to make this. I like the way this can "stand up" on it's own so that when I read at lunch, I will be able to see it easier.

I made one like this for my Kindle. I added a couple of pockets on the inside flap to keep my plug and cord in, so they don't get lost
