Elmers glue sale
For those that use Elmers glue in their quilts, now is the time to buy.. Wallmart has it on sale this week. Office Max has the generic version on sale, also..

I bought some this week there...50 cents.

i'll be looking out for some... most of the retailers put it on sale just before school

I buy a couple bottles and glue sticks every time I go to Walmart. I love the back to school sales on them. Right now, our Walmarts have glue sticks 4 for $1.00. They are bigger than the small glue sticks but not quite as big as the big ones. They are just loose in bins.

I bought a dozen this am at Walmart. I store my glue sticks on a ziploc bag in the freezer. It keeps them from drying out. I usually buy 3-4 dozen during school sales to last me the year.

I've not used the glue sticks. Are they by elmers? Do you use them to layer your quilt?

The glue sticks are the Elmer's Washable Disappearing Purple ones. Don't use the repositionable glue sticks as they don't hold well. I use the glue sticks to hold small pieces together. It dries super fast. I use it if I need to chain piece my fabrics. Just a dab from the glue sticks works much better than pins for me. And I used it when I was making a string quilt. Instead of ironing each string over, I finger pressed and used the glue stick to hold it in place and sewed the next string on top of it. Worked great.
