look for Ivory Blushes Blogspot. diddle around until you do. it's really worth it. remember Xmas is always right around the corner!

on the left hand side of the page that comes up there is a list. scroll down. down. down until you come to a heading called Tutorials. there are only 2 listed. one is called pincushion. click there.

hello! the most beautiful pincushion i have ever seen. and the most clever! i don't do these little projects and i found this accidentally, but if anyone does it, please show it to me. i would love to see another interpretation.

Thanks for the link, guess I'll just trace my shape on heavy cardboard or plastic & it should work okay? We don't get many extra CDs in this house.

butterflywing 02-18-2009 09:44 PM

i used to get them as advertisements at my house. we used them for everything, and finally just threw them away. we recently changed from windows to mac and i can't use some history and encyclopedia ones. if my daughter doesn't want them, i'll be happy to send you some.

pm if you want them.

You could also use the plastic top from a coffee can, and maybe put a
circle of cardboard in it for strength. I'm definitely making one!

Thank you, Butterflywing and mgshaw, for finding it!

That sure is a pretty one!! I like she recycled CD's to make it too. I love pincushions..they are fun to make. If you make this one, we want to see it! Only I think I'd opt for more satin stitches instead of beads and shells...might be hard on the pins if you weren't looking!LOL Skeat

Just love the pincushion pattern provided by mgshaw. I like to collect pin cushions and my son got me a nice shelf for Christmas that will be perfect for this.
