This gal is great. I think someone mentioned her eBay store before, but I couldn't find the thread. She has fabric strips, yardage, etc. All first quality. And you can't beat her shipping prices. Very nice lady.

Yes she is awesome, she even gave the members here a discount in Sept! I have been doing business with her for a long time, now :D It never hurts to show her site again for those who may have missed it before as she gets new fabric in periodically :D :D :D

Chele 10-28-2007 12:58 PM

Her prices are so good! She's getting in a new shipment Wednesday and hopes to have it listed by the weekend. Like I need fabric! LOL!

patricej 10-28-2007 04:43 PM

i also recommend her highly :P

MAXIES2 10-29-2007 04:07 AM

CassandraE 10-29-2007 04:20 PM

I also buy from her, great fabric , :D :D :D :D :D :D and she even added a freebe to my order

amma 11-01-2007 10:48 AM

Lorri just posted some new fabrics and will be posting more over the next week :D

patricej 11-04-2007 08:12 AM

her prices really shot up this time around. nearly double for some things compared to the last time i bought from her. $2.87 for a half yard, plus shipping. same fabric was less than half that before - at least when she was selling it in 6" strips. yeeouch!!!

Moonpi 11-04-2007 09:20 AM

The 6" strips are always a great value. I just ordered a batch for some charity quilts for Xmas, need something I can work up FAST. If you get her newsletter, the new strips are selling for $2.19 if you order from her mailing. Can't beat it!

Diamonds 11-04-2007 09:50 AM

I just took a quick look... Excellent prices.. I did save it to my favorites and will go look around tonight when it is quiet here... Thanks for the link..

amma 11-04-2007 05:02 PM

A lot of her fabric strips are on sale, and the prices are $1.39 to $3.09 each right now.

amma 11-05-2007 08:39 PM

Just checked out her site again, and her yardage is on sale again, too! :D

Thanks for the link. I deal with a couple of gals who have eBay stores, their selection is great and affordable.

I live in a semi-remote town way up north and we only have one place to buy fabric and quilting supplies. The prices are high, we pay anywhere from 15.00 to 18.99 for a meter of fabric, fat quarters range from 3.99 to 4.59 for one. I don't have a lot of selection to choose from in fabrics and honestly if I didn't purchase my fabric from shops on eBay, I wouldn't be able to afford to quilt as much as I do.

I do go out of town from time to time and stock up on fabric, especially when there are sales going on in the bigger quilt shops.

MAXIES2 11-06-2007 07:55 AM

I ordered a load last week as material in England is so expensive, cant wait for it to arrive, I also buy a lot off E.Bay USA

amma 11-14-2007 08:25 PM

Thought I would let you know that she just got in some more new fabrics and has lots of sale. Her strips are starting at $1.67 each (23 feet + in length) and has some childrens yardage at $1.23 and good prices on lots more.

grammajudee 11-18-2007 10:06 PM

could you send me this ladies link or e-mail addresse i would like to purchase some strips, i realy dont like to cut the patterns. I do like to use thangles though! Cathy M 11-19-2007 09:30 AM

Wahoo---- tell us more about the machine... a new toy :)

grammajudee 11-19-2007 04:49 PM

loretta please tell me what kind of a miracle is this machine and does it cost much? :-o

amma 11-19-2007 09:47 PM

Yes, please, I would love to know about this gadget too! :D :?:  :D

patricej 11-27-2007 06:23 PM

I asked Lorri what she used and whether she'd tell us where she got it. The news is baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad. It's a one of a kind, custom built machine. fine tuned and perfected over the years to such a degree it's truely priceless and not available for rent or sale anywhere.

it's her husband! he cuts everything by hand!

anyhoooo, we struck up an email conversation; i bounced a few ideas off her she found interesting.

if a customer wants the fabric(s) cut into custom size squares, rectangles, etc, so they arrive ready to assemble for a quilt, she'll do it if she and the customer can negotiate an extra charge fair and agreeable to both. if, over time, it proves to be a popular service, she'll be able to develop a standard price list. in the meantime, it would have to be negotiated case-by-case.

if a customer can't find the fabric she/he needs in lorri's inventory, she can email lorri; negotiate the fee; buy the fabric elsewhere and have it shipped to lorri, who will cut it into strips, etc, then ship it to the customer. naturally, the fee would include the cost of final shipping.

she's also willing to talk to customers about custom cutting fabric we already have. we'd pay shipping there and back, plus the charge for cutting.

what neither of us knows yet is whether she'll be able to come up with prices that compensate them fairly for the work yet remain affordable for us. the important thing is that she's willing to give it a shot.

if it works ... just think what a difference it could make to quilters who - for one reason or another - have either had to give up complex patterns because of cutting issues, or who don't tackle them because of how much time it takes to cut all those pieces. when i think of how much fabric i waste from just about every project because i goofed on the cuts ... i won't be surprised to find i actually save money overall the first time she and i negotiate something for one of my quilts - especially if i'm making it for a paying customer. only time will tell, but i'm excited by the prospect!

and, oh by the way, we board members are still eligible for the 10% discount until the end of the year. :P

A P.S to Dear Admin: it was my idea to put so much of this info at the board. neither one of us intends this to be a tricky way to get free advertising for lorri. we won't abuse your generosity by making a habit of it.

jbsstrawberry 11-27-2007 06:56 PM

What a wonderful link!!! Thanks so much...I'm sure that I'll take advantage of her wonderful deals especially since Wally World will be giving up their department within the next year or so (so says the lady at the cutting counter).

CassandraE 11-27-2007 07:45 PM

I love lorri's shop she is great and I think this a great idea that you and her came up with!!!!

Cassandra

patricej 11-28-2007 02:49 AM

the "problem" now is that i feel obligated to go through my patterns, make a patch list, and [oh, the horror!] do some more shopping. it's a dirty job, but somebody's gotta do it.

grammajudee 11-28-2007 10:15 AM

 oh come on i lent my"cutting machine " and i didnt even know it, so I wasnt even bothered by it till I found out that someone was useing "IT"

grammajudee 11-28-2007 10:19 AM

i wonder how you would price something like that service, the cutting i mean... it would be awesome to have someone that we could count on to do that, MAN could I get my quilts done fast then..Let me know what you find out please...and thanks for all that info too

patricej 11-30-2007 04:37 PM

Since the custom cutting would be a brand new, experimental service, you'll need to talk to her directly at

[email protected]

discuss your specific needs so you and she can see whether or not you can come to a mutually beneficial agreement. :-)

Knot Sew 03-23-2008 09:29 AM

I've been looking for this ,she has a sale about every holiday hooray I know i had this saved but don't know where

amma 03-23-2008 06:36 PM

Ruth, if you add her to your ebay favorite seller list, you will get an email from her when she adds new fabrics or has items on sale. All you have to do once you save her to your favorites is check the box for sales, newsletters, etc...
