fabulous new ruler

I found this ruler recently and it is awesome. I always have trouble joining the seams on pieces for binding, I could never get the lines just right. This ruler makes it so perfect, no drawing lines, just cut and sew 1/4" seam. Also good for flying geese and many other uses. Watch the video here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8lF0xR-HeU

Thanks for the info. This looks really interesting. May even be worth the $ to get it. Happy stitchin'.

I do have trouble with those corner seams! Thanks!

I have this ruler and use it for circles but I didn't realize it could help me with the binding, too. I always have fits when joining!

Looks great! Putting it on my wish list!

interesting for FG ... I will stick to the pencil as I am less likely to mess up

Great ruler

damaquilts 01-22-2013 07:51 AM

Interesting. I am going to have to check it out. I had a circle cutter but ended up giving it away because the fabric would always slide while I was trying to cut. This looks simpler to use ... hmmmm Thanks for the info

Thanks for the video .... I own this ruler and haven't taken the time to learn it.

mimiknoxtaylor 01-22-2013 08:38 AM

I had a hard time getting the video to start but after several other creative things & searches itnfinally worked. Looks like something I might actually use . Thanks for sharing

Will have to look for this or see if any rulers I already have would do the same thing. My binding pieces or snowball joints never come out nice no matter what I do.

cmilton 01-22-2013 01:13 PM

caspharm 01-22-2013 03:35 PM

Raine 01-23-2013 03:07 AM

I have this ruler, I used it once, and forgot that I had it. Thanks for reminding me. Old habits are hard to forget!

JaniceP 01-23-2013 04:26 AM

psychonurse 01-23-2013 05:52 AM

thank you for the link.

wraez 01-23-2013 06:06 AM

That looks like a good ruler to have ... I found it priced from about $17 to $25, so do some research to get the best price.

What is the ruler called and where can you purchase it

Cajungirl 01-23-2013 06:38 AM

Thanks for the video. I will be getting this ruler as soon as I find it at my quilt shop. I am making a quilt that this ruler would be a big help since it has a lot of marking that I could eliminate. Thanks again!
