Foldable sewing machine. Yep, it folds up.

How fun it this?

kayluvs2quilt 07-06-2012 01:32 PM

Very interesting concept - it looks like it has a zigzag function also.

Tartan 07-06-2012 03:12 PM

Very neat! Leave it to a man to build a machine instead of just using a needle and thread to sew on a button.

Candace 07-06-2012 03:16 PM

Wouldn't that be so cool to have??

Cybrarian 07-06-2012 03:27 PM

Wonder what the cost is? With a couple of convection ovens, microwaves and some of these could we at least have survival classes if not Home Ec?

MaryStoaks 07-06-2012 03:27 PM

Neat!

Maggie_Sue 07-06-2012 03:38 PM

Yes, indeed I love that design!

fabricfairy 07-07-2012 03:39 AM

Very interesting idea , good if you travel and space is limited, neat if you live in a small apartment, wonder what it would be like to take to classes if you are just piecing blocks , I have sent it on to Son who has worked for Bernina for the past 22 years , loves anything to do with sewing machines . Cathy

jitkaau 07-07-2012 03:50 AM

That is the ideal take-to-class solution.

mermaid 07-07-2012 04:34 AM

I WANT ONE! whine, whine--drool drool. It would be perfect for travel.

lonestardreams 07-07-2012 04:37 AM

Oh no! I want one.

ranbro 07-07-2012 04:54 AM

What a great idea to take to classes, but now we have to design some special "thread" to match this innovative design.

FWDesigns 07-07-2012 05:38 AM

Wow - Now if I could just give it a couple of functions that I love on one of my machines (Pfaff) like the Dual Feed system and the 19 needle positions and an adjustable stitch length it would be perfect for class/travel. Not asking for much am I? :)

Lyncat 07-07-2012 05:56 AM

I'm glad I have some time this morning because that webpage had a lot of cool things to look at. I love the sewing machine idea!

caspharm 07-07-2012 06:15 AM

That looks like a great traveling machine. Depending on the weight, it may even (wait for it) compete with our old featherweights for class use. It would definitely pack easier.

Latrinka 07-07-2012 06:59 AM

Wow, that's really neat! Would really be nice for a travel machine!

rosiewell 07-07-2012 07:48 AM

I have never heard such a thing, what will they think of next. I guess it would be "have sewing machine, will travel!"

Now wouldn't that just be the dream machine for those of us with physical limitations no problems taking to classes or any other events we would like to so to. Yes that would be a must have and forget the featherweights we would have the air machine!

ItsJustMe 07-07-2012 05:12 PM

Really cool! I'd love to try one.

k9dancer 07-07-2012 11:44 PM

Look at the huge harp area! You could FMQ on it!!!

mjsylvstr 07-08-2012 03:24 AM

I went to Google and checked it out but couldn't find any info about price or if they are purchasable as yet.
Time will tell.

Hoarder 07-08-2012 04:24 AM

The inventor has a standing market if he gets it to a Motor Home Rally!!! They would be in line for it!!

damaquilts 07-08-2012 04:59 AM

Very neat machine.. And the site is something else.

Rose Burnett 07-08-2012 05:38 AM

Looks great! He could sell a lot if the price were right.

Add to that the 'needle down' function!

beadywoman 07-08-2012 07:39 AM

Isn't it funny what your eye actually reads and your brain gets? Twice now I've looked at the subject line of this thread and thought, "Well, of course they make folding tables that would work well for sewing." Finally I gave in and clicked to read the thread, followed the link, and was totally confused because I didn't see a table! How funny is that?!?

Georgiegirl2012 07-08-2012 07:51 AM

wouldn't it be great for him, if his design was picked up and produced. Maybe he should go onto Dragon's den.

MimiBug123 07-08-2012 07:58 AM

Well, I've seen it all now! What a cool concept.

k9dancer 07-08-2012 08:46 AM

I noticed I did not see a power source. It's possible it's just at the design concept stage, and not a working model yet.

JanieH 07-08-2012 09:18 AM

Love the concept! Would be great to travel with. Hope it comes to fruition!

jeanneb52 07-08-2012 10:31 AM

I love it...what fun to show up to class with it!

quilter824 07-08-2012 12:02 PM

Great one more thing I'll be thinking I need!

bearisgray 07-08-2012 01:59 PM

Interesting idea.

wordpaintervs 07-08-2012 03:20 PM

I love it. Didn't see where it said anything about cost

nstitches4u 07-12-2012 04:46 PM

Thanks for sharing this. What a great idea!

carmanmarie 07-13-2012 05:31 AM

How nifty. You could put this in the basket of your folding bike and peddle to your quilt class!

Yarn or Fabric 07-14-2012 04:42 AM

That is really cool looking. I would love to have one. It looks like something Ikea would sell :D

jojo47 07-23-2012 02:49 PM

Very cool! What an awesome idea for college kids who would be willing to repair their own things rather than toss perfectly good items.

TexasGurl 07-25-2012 09:33 AM

A very cool design ... but sorry ladies, this is only a design concept at this point ...

How to get all the machine parts into such a small housing is the real challenge !
