At Fabric.com:

https://www.fabric.com/SearchResults...3-26a376046a5e

https://www.fabric.com/SearchResults2.aspx?Source=Header&SearchText=india n+fat+quarter+assortment&CategoryID=1d5f47dc-9991-4088-93f3-26a376046a5e]Click here, same link as above[/url]

Assortment of 8 batik fat quarters for $4.99. There are two assortments to choose from.

If you order $35+, you get free shipping, plus I used coupon code THX103 to get 20% off the total. The code is from http://www.retailmenot.com/view/fabric.com

I ordered 6 each of the 2 assortments ... 12 assortments total ... for a total of 96 FQ's. The total, including GA tax, was $51.25. That comes to $.53 for each FQ. (I'm in GA so I had to pay tax. You may not. ;) Without tax, it comes out to $.50 per FQ.)

They arrived today, and I'm tickled pink (and red and blue and green and orange) with them! I waited until they got here before posting, to be sure they were of decent quality. I've already gone back and ordered more. They sent another coupon code inside the package for $5 off my next purchase. I don't think it's valid for anyone except me, but the code is SECOND if anyone wants to try it.

And now I've grounded myself from spending any more $$ for a couple of weeks! DH was giving me "The Eyeball" this morning.

Good deal! Thanks for sharing! Looks like they are on sale until 12-31-10 unless they run out because they can't re-order

littlehud 07-16-2010 07:33 PM

What a deal. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for info. Just placed an order with them a few days ago, wish I would have known about the coupon code and how to get them, so thank again for the links.

In answer to the PM about the patterns in the batik assortment, here are photos of Assortment #1. I'd just washed them, and they haven't been ironed yet, so excuse any wrinkles.

Assortment #1 has what I call "frog spots" and "bamboo stripes" in it.

And here's a photo of Assortment #2, which is all polka dots. I haven't washed these yet.

Tallulah 07-18-2010 08:18 PM

Thank you. I ordered 4 each of the fat quarters and a multi colored batik jelly roll with 50 strips. Also decided to give the 3 lb. fabric remnant assortment a try. The code worked perfectly and it made it seem like my remnant purchase was almost free. Thanks again! Now I want it to come fast!

stefanib123 07-18-2010 08:30 PM

I thought about getting the 3lb'er a try, too. Tallulah, will you post when you get it?

Sandra-P 07-19-2010 10:03 AM

Thank you! I get emails from them but didnt look at it. I just placed an order for fat quarters and a jelly roll and the 3lb remnants.

Gilla 07-19-2010 10:11 AM

I just placed an order for 3 x fat quarters and a jellyroll. I don't have any experience with the as to shipping.

Candela59 07-19-2010 12:42 PM

Yikes! I just got done shopping and I think I'm in trouble :?

They have over 100 Westminster fabrics on sale for $2.49 a yard! I got the backing for a quilt top I just finished for under $10 for 4 yards!

I also used the coupon (THX103) and got $7.00 off my $35 order and still received the free shipping.

Good deal ladies

P.S. I just added it up... I got 11 yards of Westminster fabric, 1 Christmas panel and 8 FQs for just over $28 w/free shipping included!

Ok, I ordered the 19th, they shipped the 20th and the pkg. is here today on the 22nd. Wow. How great is that? I love everything! My fifty strip batik jelly roll is so pretty. It was the multi-colored one for $24.98. The batik fat quarters are great. I ordered four packages of each. Same ones shared in this post. Thank you for sharing, Moonrise!

Now, Stefani asked about the 3# remnant assortment. I was pleasantly surprised and happy with it. Nothing was less than 12 inches with a number of pieces in the 13 to 16 inch range.
Three good size pieces-one 2/3 of a yd., another that is about a yd. and a half and the other about a yd. All that had writing in the selvages were names I knew-Bernatex, Andover, Westminister, Michael Miller, etc. There was 17 pieces in my bundle. Depending on the size of the pieces, there could be a couple more or less, if you got one. I am not disappointed at all and would say go for it. It was $16.98, but the code worked and I got $16.38 off my order, because of my other purchases, so it was like free fabric. Love that!

Now what code was that? I placed an order the other day using THX103...but I recall someone saying there was a code for a second order...not that I can really afford a second order! But then again..ya never know!

moonrise 07-22-2010 05:37 PM

The link below has lots of coupon codes for fabric.com (and lots of other online stores as well). I always check with them before making a purchase. It's saved me TONS of money!

http://www.retailmenot.com/view/fabric.com

I received my order of Westminster fabrics today from their $2.49 sale. They are all positively YUMMY!

By the way, I found the sale fabrics easier to find and navigate if I typed in Westminster sale in their search box. ;)

From Tallulah:

It was the THX103 code. In my package was a card with a little sewing gauge and a code for $5 off the next order. The code was SECOND as in second order. Expires 30 days from receipt.

Thanks for this website! I am going to check them out! You have been so helpful.

Gilla 07-23-2010 07:54 AM

Do you always wash fabrics before you use them? I used to do that, but haven't lately. What is the benefit. I received my shipment from fabric.com. I am not as pleased with the jellyroll. The pattern is very repetitive. The fat quarters are okay. Now I have to decide what to do with it.

janerjul 07-23-2010 12:24 PM

Thank you for the coupon code. I've been looking for months for a desert flower print to go with other fabric I had picked up during a recent trip to Arizona and they had what I had envisioned + I saved 20%! I also picked up 3 new 'coffee' theme fabrics for my daughters coffee mug lap quilt I'll soon be starting.

Gilla 07-23-2010 12:36 PM

Now that we have purchased the beautiful fat quarters from fabric.com, you should do a tut for a quilt with them.

I wash reds and blacks. I don't generally wash all my fabric.

Which jelly roll did you buy? Mine is so pretty. I haven't taken it apart yet, but the color variety is really nice.

Gilla 07-23-2010 02:57 PM

I bought tan and orange.

I bought the 50 strip multicolored batiks. It is a nice selection of lights to darks. I really like it. Now to find a good project.

They always have great deals and there's a new deal every day. Every Wednesday they add more fabrics to their $3.95/yd section too. I love the remnant bundles. There are approximately 9 yds total in a 3 lb. bundle for $16.98...great deal! They offer free shipping on orders over $35.00. Shipping is super fast. I live in GA not far from where they are located so I usually get my shipment within 1-2 days. Can you tell I love fabric.com??? I really want to get a job there...just waiting for the call :)

Tallulah 07-25-2010 12:27 PM

I placed a second order and tried to use THX103 again and they said that I had already used it. I had the $5 code but had remembered seeing THX104 and it worked. It gave me $9.47, off which made me feel like my $9.98 fat quarter purchase was almost free. I love free shipping, fabric on sale (bought 15 yds of the Westminister for $2.49 a yd.), and a good code. Cool!

The sale on Westminister ends tomorrow, July 26.

Gilla 07-25-2010 01:11 PM

I found another source of reasonably priced fabrics. equilters.com. They have beautiful jellyrolls for $23 - 24 each. I can't spend anymore this month so I have to wait. Has anyone bought from them? And?

Jim's Gem 07-25-2010 09:06 PM

Ok, you guys are enablers!!! I just placed an order for some cute baby fabrics!!!!

wvdek 07-25-2010 09:36 PM

Boy I hope my Work Comp $'s get here real soon. Not that I need anything. Oh yes I do, I need landscape designs and fabrics for a lighthouse I am making DH for Christmas. Yikes! Hope the coupons are still good when I order.Thanks.
