Very cute and if you used a wooden frame you could drill a 1/4 inch hole for a piece of dowel. It would be handy for keeping a stack of bobbins on or a spool of thread.

How cute. I think I'd glue a piece of felt on the bottom (back?) to cover those metal tabs so they couldn't scratch my table.
