These are really pretty. The only problem I would have is having done all the piecing and quilting first what happens if your embroidery design messes up?!? I think I would be inclined to do the embroidery first on a square and then piece and quilt.

I think doing a practice stitch out would be a good idea, but once you are sure of your hooping and stabilizing it shouldn't be a problem.
