Free pattern that uses the Cozy Quilt "Strip Tube Ruler"
Was looking for free patterns tonight and found this one. I have the Strip Tube Ruler and am always looking for ways to use it. I am going to try a scrappy with this one since it uses light and dark strips.

Check out the Cozy Quilt website ... they usually have a Strip Tube pattern or two there.
Also, there is (or at least used to be) one on the Missour Star site. <------ Cozy Quilts Stained Glass Strip Tube Pattern! (and for those interested, I did not buy the ruler ... they told you in the pattern to just use a regular square ruler, and turn it on point) |
I just ordered the ruler. Never heard of it before but it sounds like something I desperately need. I have a hard time with HSTs. But the directions say if you want a 2 1/2" square, cut two fabrics 2 1/2" and place the ruler at 3 1/2". Sounds confusing. I'm sure it comes with directions, so hopefully I won't be confused.

I have this ruler but have not tried it yet.

that is a lot of bias edges to put together. Be sure to starch your fabric before cutting.

Interesting. I have the ruler so am thankful for the information!

They also have several patterns by Cozy Quilts that use the ruler, some really cute ones
