Free Quilting Calculator App for your "smart" devices!
I just found a great app for your Android devices called "QuiltCalc" on Amazon. It's by Robert Kaufman. It has several uses, from figuring how much fabric is needed, to how many pieces can be cut from a specific piece of fabric. It helps with setting triangles to bindings. It also has other links to Kaufman blogs or stores that carry his fabric. Look in the app store under "utilities" to find it. I had to scroll down the list quite a ways to get to it. Great app to have with you when you're at the LQS!

I'm going to bookmark this page as I plan on getting a smart phone soon. Thank you so much!

There is the same app for the I phone as well. And a pretty nifty app it is. :)

I looked in the App Store on my IPhone - Utilities - free apps and could not find it. Am I doing something wrong?

It works in the IPad too. It makes things so much easier.
There are several others but I like this one the best. Another one i downloaded was Sherman Paint chips, free. I use it for the colors when picking fabrics. |

Wow, just went to the app store to get it for my iPod and found it right away along with a whole bunch of other quilting apps. Never knew they were out there! Thank you.
