ChaiQuilter 02-25-2012 09:57 PM

Excellent! I was always afraid to tackle prairie points but I might try them now.

that is an excellent tut that makes it seem possible to make continuous prairie points, i can imagine how nice it would look with 2 different fabrics...i'll add this to the never ending bucket list..lol

Welcome to a wonderful group of quilters! How late did you stay up last night after finding this site? (Probably to the crack of dawn!) Yes, that's PooPoo and Matthew napping on the couch with the quilt I made to replace one of his great-grandmothers that he had worn out.............

Wow! Can't wait to try this. I'd love to do this on a larger quilt too, but if you took it to the long arm person, could they quilt it with this edge instead of binding it????

nannyrick 02-26-2012 09:33 AM

Thanks so much for this. She really does a nice job of presenting this technique. I saw it done on Simply Quilts YEARS ago and of course wouldn't be able to remember how to do it.

Check out the Strata Star that Maxine shows. She and her shop are so worth visiting if you are in the area of Franklin, NC. She always has the best tips on her Tuesday Technique classes. No affiliation...just love the shop.
