I did these for my friends 2 childern while I was watching them one afternoon. She loves these towels. Was so much fun. I used their hands and feet and then put their names on the bottom of the towels.

I used to do something similar with my schoolkids the last week of school: I helped them trace their hands on a white handerchief and then they colored them in with fabric crayons and wrote their name and the date. A Father's Day card was made with the sentiment: "Thank you for holding my hands close to your heart!" and these were sent home to wait for Father's Day. My students' fathers always told me that they loved the handkerchief and were appreciative to have gotten a 'hand-made' gift from their child. When I retired several fathers came to my retirement luncheon and brought their handkerchieves to show me. Really made me feel honored!

Adorable, I used this same technique to put my two grandsons hand prints in a quilt I made for my daughter from their out grown clothing.
