This is associated with Michael Miller fabrics. I'm not sure exactly what it is, but I think it is a contest for designing a new line of fabrics for them.

Yeah... well... when I got a tour of the Cranston mill (before they stopped printing here in the US) they had the most fascinating really big printer. It printed on a roll of plain fabric! And it took the biggest ink cartridges. I can only imagine what they must cost.
My guess - and it is only a guess - is that a printer like that is what's being used to custom-print yardage of these yet-to-be-released fabrics. Actually, I would love to know what that printer cost, too! |
