I was chatting with a fellow quilter yesterday at a local shop yesterday and she does alot of home decorating for one of the paint and home decor stores here in the city. We were talking about the course I am doing with Quilt University and discussing the photo I was making into fabric and she wondered if there was some sort of online university like the quilt university but for interior decorating and such. Does anyone out there know of such a beast??

Hi quilting aggie. I'm not sure, but you might try just googling on line interior decorating class. There may be something offered by some of the 2 yr. techie schools that will help your friend out.

I'd be very careful though..my degree is in Interior DESIGN- a full 4/5 yr. program and designers nowdays must be licensed by the NCIDQ. That requires testing and "real world" work requirements and of course..money.

Good luck

thanks Sandpat.. I will let her know about that. I'm not an interior decorator myself, so have no idea...
That being said, I do think she is just looking for different types of interior design courses, draperies, etc.
