Over the years we've bought specialty dishes for holidays that we store in the attic when not in use. The Boxes & cardboard inserts are getting pretty ragged. Just found this great quilted storage solution that's going to the top of my to-do list!
Here's the link for the free pattern http://www.joann.com/static/project/0801/P488360.pdf |
Thanks for the link

My grandma used something similar and she also put fabric in between the pieces of dishware.

I made these to hosue our dishes in the motorhome during storage and travel... they are easy to make up.....
I used pinked edged felt for between the plates.... I have seen ppl use coffee filters between the plates...but I liked a bit more cushion.. |
Very nice idea.

I'm lazy...have too many quilts I would rather be sewing. I ordered some from Lillian Vernon for my china and Christmas dish sets. lol
|
Got a bunch from Bed Bath and Beyond. I did cut the felt to put between plates...lol. Would be a great gift idea.

What an excellent idea! I have my dishes stored in a plastic tote! This would be more secure for them! Thanks for sharing the link and pattern!

These would make a great wedding gift for a new bride.

Fabulous - I'll make a stack of those.

If you're moving, pad the china with towels. Both china and towels get there clean. For everyday, I just use paper towels.
