Laced star variation star
Carol Doak:
This interesting traditional block has been reworked so that the foundations can be printed on 8 1/2" x 11" paper to make a 12" finished size block. I would suggest using print fabrics for the rays of the star so the seams disappear. http://www.caroldoak.com/pdfs/LacedStarVariation.pdf |
i was just looking a this one this morning :)

In the drawing of the finished square, it looks like the points go right to the corners without any 1/4" leeway for stitching the squares together. Is that right? Thanks for posting and resizing. Think I'll try it and see how it works.

Thanks for posting this link. I love paper piecing. I'll have to try this one.

It looks to me like each of the four partial blocks have 1/4 inch seem allowances for connecting them and then on the outside of the blocks as well. These are noted by the dashed lines on the paper foundation.

Would make a very pretty quilt with the variation of the Lone Star. Tks for sharing.
