Looks like a great way to make HST's!!
Just ran across this, and am going to grab some scraps and try.

LIke that! Thanks for sharing.

Great idea, I am trying this. Thank you so much, I hate drawing the lines.
I usually use post- its becasue the stickiness helps to keep a straight line.
Worth a try!

Oh my gosh, what an awsome discovery. Thanks.

Great idea. For the short stitches corner to corner I don't draw a line anyway. I just eyeball the line and sew, which works so far for me. For the larger blocks at that angle I will try this new method.

Thanks for the great link!
Great idea!! And time saving too. I don't like to draw that line!!
Thanks! That's a really useful tip!!! I hate drawing diagonal lines on endless squares!!
It does seem easy. However, when you draw the line, you get two HST's. This looks like it only yields one? Isn't that more waste?
Great tip!

I fold one piece in half, iron, put it on the other square and stitch along side, or on the crease, depending on what I need to do.
Personally, I'd take a 3x5 card and cut 45 degrees off one end. That way I'd have a long straight edge to lay against the top/left side of the two pieces of fabric.

I like it .. thanks for posting!
