I love PT's site for tips, but only today did I find that she has free downloadable "maps" to get you started if, like me, you have some difficulty actually coming up with pretty and consistent designs to stitch!

Thank you very much for sharing this with us. I really like having a map and would not have known about these if you hadn't posted it here.

Thanks for the posting. I really struggle with(and can't seem to get) FMQ despite dozens of practice squares, so am happy for any help I can get. Let's just say that it's not a talent that comes naturally for me ! I know --- PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE !!!

I have been making scrappy placemats to practice my free motion quilting. These will really help! Thanks for the link.

Thanks for this. I am just starting to learn to FMQ and I dont want all stippling, so this gives me a lot to play with.

Joanne9of12 07-20-2011 03:23 PM

Thanks. I forgot about this site!

Maggiemay 07-20-2011 03:44 PM

Thanks for that site! I am not quite a beginner at FMQ, but have only done a few different things. There were a lot of great ideas here & they actually look do-able!

Thank you. Very helpful.

That was quite an array of free motion patterns. Now that I have mastered stitch-in-the-ditch, I can go on. Thank you for the website.
