My husband just made one of these for me last week. Works great for yards of fabric! It took longer to go to Lowes and get the board than it did to put it together!

cool, is this the pattern idea that he used to make yours?

It's very similar to the one shown. Just looks like a big rectangle sitting on my ironing board! I don't know where the digital camera is, I'll look and see if I can find it.

Here is mine. Super easy. My son was going to throw away this piece of wood and I recycled it instead. I love this new ironing surface. I have a thrift store flannel sheet stapled all around it.

I love this even more 'cuz it is recycled

I have seen this site before and would like the same as well... thinking it too could be used for cutting fabric if needed for space.

Here's the one I made! I adore this thing, it makes a wonderful work surface as well. I actually made 2 of them and now need to buy another ironing board

Love the site. A lady I met at quilting retreat has a son who sells them for $55. A friend of mine bought one and it is made from pressed board and so super heavy I can't lift it. I think the plywood may be much better.

The shop owner had one at the retreat and recovered it there. She put a layer of Warm n Natural and stapled it on then put on the silver stuff and stapled it on. Works great.
