This is a way to do machine applique that looks like it has been done by hand-done with freezer paper, not fusible, and the edges are turned back, not raw. It does take practice to get proficient at doing it, but you get beautiful results and it really does look like it is done by hand, you have to look really close to see that it has been sew by machine.

That sounds very interesting. I've bookmarked it and will surely give it a try. Thanks

Thank you, thank you, thank you! That was a great link and I am definitely going to be using this method.

Thank you for the link. I wish I'd have known about this before. It would have looked very nice to do my Quilter's World with this technique.

Beth Ferrier also teaches hand applique by machine. Her website is http://applewd.com/

She started out using freezer paper but then it needs to be removed by cutting it out through the background fabric. Now she has come up with water soluble paper that can be used instead of freezer paper. But it is not removable like freezer paper; it has to be washed out. I enjoyed her classes.

Patchsamkim, thank you so much for sharing this site with us. I have been on there for about 2 hours already. There is a wealth of information on there free for the taking. Amazing site to me. Thanks again.
