Did you know you can make HST's (half square triangles) with those jelly rolls without losing your math?
I found 2 tutorials that explain how to. Here's one:

And you can also use the Omnigrid 96 if you don't have the Easy Angle.

Here's a video using the Omnigrid.

Now I can make lots of HST's with my left-over jelly rolls. Imagine all the
possibilities. :D

When mass producing HST, I prefer to use the Wonder Cut Ruler 'method'. Have you seen it?

I sew the strips together FIRST, cut the HST out of that, then press open. I sometimes have problems with the beginning and ending of the seams going away from the 1/4" seam allowance and this method helps me.

Great tips. Thanks for sharing.

The Wondercut looks similar but I don't think you could use it with 2.5 strips
although I could be wrong.
The Easy Angle and the Omnigrid 96 includes the 1/4" seam allowance.
You are not cutting a perfect triangle but more of a quadrilateral but
still end up with a 2" HST.
In order to make a 2" HST you usually have to cut 2 7/8" or 3".
With this method you can still use the 2.5" strips and have 2" (finished) HST.
That's the point I was trying to make. :D

I've checked it out but don't like working on the bias any more than necessary. It doesn't work for me although I know it works well for others.
