Wow...Great loss...Hope they find it soon...

I made a quilt with all 2 1/2" squares of scrap, 90 x 90". gave it to son & daughter-in-law. It was their picnic blanket. The kids loved playing I Spy on it. It disappeared from their van parked in their own driveway. So I just need to cut & sew more so I can have enough scraps to make another.

I don't know how a person could even use it after having stolen it, but there are people with no conscience. How awful after so much work. The thief ought to take some quilt lessons so he or she would know what it takes.

It's sad to hear. People will gripe if you tell them how much it would cost to make one for them, but some feel entitled to take what they want.

We are LOOKING for you. and when we find you Oh well ???????

All, it seems that we have too many of these postings.
**************************************** this is the link to the newsletter that Material Girl's of LaPlata, MD sent out. The info on the quilt is towards the bottom. link: http://campaign.r20.constantcontact....vF9H23jBaEQ%3D Thank you all for looking Januari Rhodes Jan's Quiltn I just hate to think that someone is in such dire need of a quilt to steal one, the thief had to have know what work went into that quilt. I am so sorry for the owner and know she must be heartbroken. So sad that she doesn't have a picture to show. I always take a picture of the work in progress of my quilts and when I am finished, as I keep an album for my finished work. Also by using my digital since I don't have to print the photo out to see it, I can see where a mistake might be and also if I like or dislike the arrangements. Looking through the camera eye is a great help. Hoping that the thief will have a conscience that is eating them alive, and return the quilt. |
You might not have heard of it when you were growing up, but it was happening. The internet makes both good and bad news available to us - and the bad news is far greater than the good news.

What a terrible thing to have happen, and I hope you can somehow recover it. What a sad commentary on today's society. It's hard to imagine that a quilt can show up and no one would notice how it got there. It's so sad.

That is just horrible. I cannot believe that someone would steal that quilt. I am praying for it's return

My local LQS just sent e-mail out stating that they had rented out their longarm and couldn't remember who has it! Can you imagine? I guess these places just get busy and it's especially hard when you are only one person covering a store with more than one room, or many nooks in it. I hope they get their quilt back!
