What a great tutorial. Thanks!

Love it! Thanks so much for sharing. One more technique for my list of things to try.

Yep, here I was, trying to think how best to get RID of my teensy scraps. Best laid plans and all! Now I've scoured Amazon looking for books on this type of technique, piling them into my Wish List.

There's also a member of this board that is a confetti quilt instructor, I think her name is Jan. One of these days, I'm going to get her video.

ItsJustMe 01-01-2013 09:19 AM

Well... no more tossing tiny scraps! And I really do need to save something else, as my sewing space is shrinking from my fabric stash and tools! lol

Gail is a really interesting person, she has a great sense of humour. I took her confetti course years ago, and used it in other blocks for trees. I also have her book and have made a few things from it, it's got gorgeous pictures in it along with the stories & techniques. One word of caution, if you're going to try it, use an older board or the backside of your good one, because I scored my board quite badly as I got a little enthusiastic with my chopping of scraps.

Looks like a fun technique to try. Thanks for posting the link.

OMG I won't be able to throw out anything now. Great video.

Wow, I never heard of confetti quilting before. BUT , now , I've just got to try it. Thanks

We are doing a Whistle Stop which consists of members doing different demos for our Feb. meeting. One member is going to do something like this called snipits. This looks like fun.

I got her video and it is quite comprehensive and interesting, well worth the price. I still have not gotten to trying the technique, but will one of these days. What interested me is that this lady's version uses a powdered glue and Jan only used the tulle without any glue or adhesion.

Thank you for sharing. What a great idea.

I've watched the video several times and I think the power holds the confetti in place. I just a beginner trying to figure out new stuff to do.
